Start with the setting
Trailhead sits near U.S. 72 and Moores Mill Road. The City's 1.25-mile Trailhead Greenway loops around the community and connects to Hickory Cove's Legacy Loop. Greenway parking is on Trailhead Main Street NE.
The greenway gives the neighborhood a place to stretch your legs, walk the dog or get outside between the workday and dinner.
Hickory Cove's 1.75-mile Legacy Loop climbs through the forest and returns to the greenway. Rocky terrain and elevation changes make this a moderate hike.
Go beyond the Saturday showing
Make room in your visit for the everyday things: the drive to work, a grocery stop and a walk after dinner.
Start at the home you're considering and take your usual work route. It's a practical way to put Trailhead's U.S. 72 location into the context of your day.
Food City at 150 Old Gurley Road NE has groceries, a pharmacy, a bakery and deli, and Starbucks. Add a stop to your neighborhood visit.
Finish with a walk on the greenway. Save the longer Legacy Loop hike for a day when you want some time in the woods.
