Is Madison, AL running out of land to build new homes?

Answer: Land within the city limits is becoming scarcer, but there is still development occurring, particularly on the western side and in annexed areas.

While the core of Madison is largely developed, the city is not completely out of land. Developers are focusing on the western corridor toward Limestone County and areas near the I-565 interchanges.

However, the scarcity of large tracts of land within the central zoning districts has led to a rise in infill development and a competitive market for new construction.
