What free or low-cost family events are happening in Madison during November and December?
Answer: The biggest free events are the Tinsel Trail in Huntsville, the Madison Christmas Parade, and the Christmas on Main tree lighting. You can also visit Santa for free at Bridge Street Town Centre.
Madison & Huntsville's Top Holiday Events
- Tinsel Trail: Located in Big Spring Park in Huntsville, this is a free-to-walk display of over 400 uniquely decorated Christmas trees, running from late November through December.
- Madison's Christmas on Main: The city hosts a tree lighting ceremony on Main Street, scheduled for December 6, 2025. This is followed by the Madison Christmas Parade on December 13, 2025.
- Santa Visits: Bridge Street Town Centre in Huntsville offers free visits with Santa (photo packages are extra) from late November until Christmas Eve.
